There’s a nice video on YouTube that shows more:
THE FACTS
INITIAL THOUGHTS
When I used the former largest model Cintiq 21UX I found the visual distance between the LCD surface and the glass surface I was drawing on to be a little distracting. I hope the early reviews cover this topic.
Also 64lbs (29kg) is a stunning weight. I thought the Cintuq 21UX was too heavy at 22.4lbs (10.2kg). This is three times heavier. I assume a part of the increase has to do with the new stand, but it is still surprising.
Cost: $2,499.00. Fine, I guess it’s a high-end item. But in an era where we see a 30” monitor (HP ZR30W) with a resolution of 2560x1600 selling for around $1200 it’s a lot to pay for unless you *really* need to be touching your pixels. I don’t use my existing Cintiq 21UX enough (or at all). So, I personally don’t see myself upgrading to this monitor.
The resolution is 1920x1200 – which is OK. It’s clearly HD but I would have expected higher pixel density at this price.
