Clicking Quietly with Windows 8

Windows Vista and Windows 7 (and maybe Windows XP though I honestly do not recall it) were obsessed with playing a “click” sound whenever you physically clicked on something. It was annoying but could be disabled. Because, of course, the fact that I physically pressed the button and heard the actual click sound wasn't enough to make me be believe I had performed the task correctly.

Based on the RTM Windows 8 build, the clicking sound is disabled by default. This is a small victory for ears and sanity.

The screenshot below shows the default value for the Start Navigation sound. As you can see it is set to None.
