Visio Tip - Controlling Shape Size with Shape Data (Screencast)
Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:08AM Learn how to make a Visio shape respond to its Shape Data. In this screencast I walk through Shape Data, Using the Shape Sheet, and Text fields to create a shape whose size will reflect it's Shape Data.

This was extremely helpful. Thank you so much. One question I have is how can I add this scaling factor to all of my shapes' data so that they all update size automatically?
@Fawn - You could accomplish something like that in Visio using the Visio ShapeSheet. It would work by having a set of shapes use a Formula for their Width and Height that referenced another shape. If you scale this one shape all the rest will follow. If you would like I could show an example of how to do this.
This video is great but I'm hitting a road block
I'm Inputting Data from Excel and using this for drawing a line but the co-ordinates Visio is outputting are way off the data I'm inputting
With the data Linked i am left with this shape Data
Name - Line 1
BeginX - 177
BeginY - 0
EndX - 181
Endy - 7
but the co-ordinates I'm ending up with on the shape are
Begin X - 30539.5
Begin Y - 0
End X - 30561
End Y - 177.8
Would be great to have a way too fix this if possible
Cheers
